Everyone should see this excellent museum
This large and well laid-out museum is dedicated to the history of slavery in America and the role of Cincinnati's Underground Railroad in bringing it to an end. The museum occupies a prime piece of real estate in downtown Cincinnati, between the football and baseball stadiums, overlooking the Ohio River. That river served as the boundary between slavery and freedom for African Americans 150 years ago. The role of such men as Joshua Parker and the Rev. John Rankin in smuggling slaves into Ohio and on into Canada is something for Cincinnati to be proud of. There is a film depicting this with very high production values at the museum. - Unsubscribed , posted 08/13/05
